Foreclosures and Rugby Share a Common Bond
Merrell Remington created ads on both for Property 23

Merrell Remington, an advertising agency in Salt Lake City Utah, was hired by Property 23 to create a variety of magazine ads to not only promote their property investment services but also the Utah Warriors, a professional rugby team Property 23 had recently purchased.
Property 23 provides a unique service for their customers -- they purchase foreclosured homes nationwide, fix them up, get renters into them, and then sell them as turn-key investment properties to customers for pennies on the dollar.
For the magazine ads, Merrell Remington sought to capture the readers' attention with quick headlines that were a play on words, such as "No Assembly Required", and would encourage the reader to keep reading. And the copy had to explain right away what Property 23 did and how they, as the consumer, could benefit.
For the Utah Warriors ad, Merrell Remington used a layout that invoked power and action. Playing off the team name, the headline created was "A New Kind of Warrior is Coming". Coupled with the image of a Utah Warrior player inside a slashing frame and copy points that emphasized the quick pace action, this ad was sure to garner interest for any sports enthusiast.
